El VII Concurso “Rodando por Jaén” se clausura este miércoles con la proyección de los cortos finalistas y la entrega de premios

The VII Contest “Rolling for Jaén” organized by the Provincial Council will end next Wednesday, September 18, with the celebration of a gala at the New Infanta Leonor Theater in the capital in which the eight finalist works of this edition will be screened and The name of the winners of the different prizes established in this contest will be announced. Starting at 8:00 p.m., this act will begin with which “the finishing touch will be put on a new edition of this event that shows the commitment of the Diputación de Jaén for the cinema and that allows every year that many corners of our inner paradise become cinematic sets ”, highlights the deputy of Culture and Sports, Angel Vera.

The closing gala of this edition, which can be accessed for free until full capacity is reached and will be presented by Cristina Mediero and Chema Trujillo, will begin with the screening of the eight finalist works, which are “Invisible Judges”, of José María Ortega “Sitoh” (Jaén); “Fe de rico”, by Jaime García (Almería); “The Good Samaritan”, by Raúl Mancilla (Málaga); “In no man’s land”, by Ana Rubio (Madrid); “What we had to dance”, by Oliver Gil (Jaén); “El Rincón de la Victoria”, by Marta Hernández (Lugo); “Jaén Blues”, by Christian Alexander and Alfonso Rey (Logroño and Toledo); and “Hundred winters”, by Sergi González (Castellón) -.

Subsequently, awards will be given to the winners of this contest, with 4,200 prizes. The award of these awards will be in charge of the jury of this seventh edition, which will be chaired by the film director Pablo Berger and composed of actresses Fátima Baeza, Ruth Gabriel and Ana Risueño; the actor Fernando Guallar; the president of the Association of Cinematographic Writers and Writers of Andalusia (ASECAN), Lourdes Palacios; the president of the Association of Audiovisual Distribution Companies of Andalusia, Rogelio Delgado; the director of the Short Film and Alternative Film Festival of Benalmádena, Jaime Noguera; the director of Canal Sur in Jaén, Pilar Mariscal; the coordinator of this event, Enrique Iznaola, and the director of Culture and Sports of the Provincial Council, José Lucas Chaves.

This jury will be in charge of selecting the short winner of this edition, which will obtain the first prize of this contest, endowed with 2,500 euros, as well as the names of the works that obtain the second prize, of 1,000 euros; the Prize for the Canal Sur Radio Televisión Award for Andalusian audiovisual creation –which implies the broadcast on Canal Sur TV of said short film– and the Special Prize for the Best Provincial Short, endowed with 750 euros. In addition, prizes will also be awarded to best director, actor, actress, photography, screenplay, soundtrack, production and sound, which are endowed with a trophy.
